Honey & Beekeeping

Honey for Sale

Here at Sumac Hill Farm, we care for honey bees who produce all-natural, raw local honey. Our honey has a unique, sweet floral bouquet and flavor, making it a wonderful addition to any recipe or dessert and a great sweetener in your morning coffee or tea.

Did you know that local honey has medicinal and healing properties that cannot be found in processed honey? Local honey helps alleviate allergies, strengthen immune systems and even heal wounds.

We love seeing the happiness on our customer’s faces when they purchase our honey, so please call or email us to order directly. Our honey is available in three sizes: $10 for the 12 oz bear, $15 for the 16 oz pint and $30 for the 32 oz quart.

You can also purchase our delightful honey at Lewis & Cluck in Downtown Littleton.

Learn to be a Beekeeper

As local beekeepers, we care for honey bees by helping them stay healthy, disease free, and treated from varroa mites. They then expertly do their job of pollinating our local community’s flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees and other deciduous trees that enjoy pollination.

Sumac Hill Farm offers tours of our honey bee apiary for individuals, small groups and school children. Our tour is a fascinating experience to observe first hand how these wonderful creatures, with a very precisely structured society, perform this amazing work of pollinating so much of the food we enjoy.

To help grow the number of local honey bee hives, we offer a Mentoring Program in which we lead interested folks from “beginning to end” to learn the “hobby and art” of caring for these wonderful pollinators. Please contact us if you would like a tour or are interested in learning to be a beekeeper.
